We hope that you find the links below useful if you're planning your own trip, or interesting, if not! We'll try to add to them as we go along - some good hostels or cheap places to eat. We've also added some of our thoughts as well.

Round the World Travel Agencies

There are many agencies which sell RTW tickets, often pretty much at the same prices since they usually come from the airlines themselves (unless a series of individual single tickets from a consolidator). That means that you should try a few out - see if they listen to your needs about the places you'd like to go and the type of trip you're after be it 18-30s style or off the beaten track. Here are some of the main ones, but as is often the case, it's often who you speak to that counts and their knowledge, rather than the company which is important!

(although STA tend to mainly cater for students, they have very good deals for older travellers and we found that they offered great advice for those on a budget and prepared to rough it a bit)

Air travel

Due to space constraints we've only provided links to the 2 main airline alliances and the ailines that we are flying with. A complete listing of airlines' homepages can be found at Yahoo.
